So i saw the cardiologist today.

I do have SVT. Suprventricalar Tacachardia. How great. He doesnt know how big of a problem it is yet though. He ordered an echocardiogram and a 24 hour holter monitor.

The monitor mainly because we aren't going to be able to differentiate many of the symptoms of SVT because they overlap some of my current conditions.

But being that my father died at 43 from Sudden cardiac arrest he is not playing around. I told him i would kinda like to live longer than that. He told me he can't promise that but he will try really hard. That was a hard thing to hear today. My mother also has mitrovalve prolapse and he was shocked that no one had looked previously at my heart for that and that they had just chalked up some of my symptoms as panic attacks. He said heart issues should have been ruled out first. I found him really laid back and kinda slow to speak which s really odd for me in a doctor but he seemed to know what he was talking about. even drew me a picture of the heart and what is going wrong with mine. I do have to say i am a handshake person. I prefer a nice strong handshake and his was all limp and weak and insincere. I am going to give it a shot though since he was so concerned about it. There are not many cardiologist that come highly recommended like he does.Plus its more of my own little pet peeve than anything else.

He was impressed with the supplements i am already taking and really didn't think i needed to add any there and of course he is not going to add any heart medication until we know for sure what is going on.

So i have the echo and the monitor scheduled for tuesday and then review the test results on the 27th.

Morning Erin, many things could cause the tachycardia, maybe when the ultra sound(echo)is done he'll know more. Your one more step closer to finding a cause. Just remain hopeful and try and get your mind off of it. I know its tough but you are too. , ~Deach~
