Is it possible for grief to become PTSD???

Grief is the feelings you get from loss, while PTSD is from trauma. If you were involved in a violent/unexpected death you could have grief and PTSD. Grief doesn't turn into PTSD.

My daughter died in a car accident (grief) but I was also in the car and experienced her traumatic death (PTSD).

I'd say they're related. My former Professor (Vietnam Vet) would say when he was thinking about his late wife it would trigger the flashbacks. Grief over her led him to Vietnam.
