With May being Mental Health Month, what will you try to do this month to take better care of yourself?
Do you share what's going with you, as far as struggling at times, with family and friends? Do you reach out for help easily?

What works best for you as far as coping with mental health issues?

What Im going to do is not drink any alcohol. I havent been drinking ever since Ive been on the Lyrica because I cant drink while Im on it.

I do share things with my husband if Im having any health issues and I post on here as well.

What works best for me as far as coping with mental health issues is, standing out in my front yard in my robe and fluffy slippers and screaming at ppl walking past "IM BIPOLAR, DONT PISS ME OFF". That usually does the trick and after an hour or so, I walk back in my house and relax.

I do not share my health probs with most people, with my husband of course when I think he needs to be aware 'just in case'.

Throwing things as hard as i can really helps! Of course I learned many many yrs ago that means NOT glass cause then I have to **%**&^ clean it up. Remember those stand up punching bags when we were kids? I think I would LOVE having one of those now!

My HUGE prayer and accomplishment for May is dated for the 23rd...I go before the judge for my disability hearing. My dh, of course, will be with me and a friend. Since I have to go to Detroit for it, I made it in to a lil vaca for us. Going over the day before and returning home on the 24th. That way we can pig out at USA restaurants we dont have and shop at Meijers and gut-up on Krispy Kremes! hehe

Also I am taking my vitamins better because I bought some D3 and B12 in liquid form since I have such a hard time with pills and already have to take those. Also, I now only buy the chewable calcium.

I want to THANK everyone on here for all the adive and hugz, I have been in the community for more than a year now and you guys will never ever know how much you have helped me, thank you for your friendship
