Again With The Procedure Run Around
bpcookie posted:
I can't deal with this mentally. Right now, as usual and again I am upset and crying about something that shouldn't happen in the first place. I called my pain specialist to find out if I can have my procedure scheduled and I'm having to go through the same ordeal as the other 9 times. Nobody in that office communicates with each other. They don't know if the ins. comp. has given them authorization yet. I asked for the procedure code # so that I could call the ins. comp. myself and they don't know the code # because they have to look it up. WTH? The guy that I talked to actually told me that. He says he will call me back with the code which translate to this "I'm too lazy to put you on hold and call the other department to get the code number and besides, I really don't care about you. Is it lunch time yet?"

I talked to the health ins. comp. and they said that if the code number is the same as the code number for the last procedure, then I don't need a pre auth. So my pain specialist already knows this but yet they don't give a crap about me.

Each day I have to go through pain, terrible pain, each day that goes by is one day of my life wasted. Every single day is precious to me. I'm tired of this pain. I want my life back. I am mentally drained, stressed out, and exhausted because of the pain and it makes it worse having to deal with these ppl. Sometimes I want to give up. Just curl up in bed and cry and do nothing with my life.

I'm so sorry you are suffering and that they keep doing this to you! It's ridiculous! ((hugs))

I called the pain center back and a different guy answered. I was being peachy sugar and spice nice and tried to get him to transfer me to ANYONE who could help, this guy was a complete rude Jack Ass and wouldn't help me. Then I emailed the CEO of the company and with in an hour I got a call and they scheduled my apt.

Thanks Monnkeybee baby.

Woohoo! That's awesome Cookie! Now, I just hope the procedure works and you get relief!

I am sooooo glad that they finally got this scheduled for you. Run arounds are ridiculous!!! And they do screw with you mentally and emotionally. Especially for people like us. As for getting things done, sometimes honey attracts more bees than vinegar but then there are other times when you have to be angry angry. I'd probably have shown up in their office and demanded to speak to the person who handles it. LOL. But that's me.

In any case, I hope this keeps moving forward for you so you can begin to be pain free and happy again!

Melly Honey!!!!! I was just thinking of you yesterday. I got a call from Florida, I think it was a wrong number cause they didn't leave a msg, but I told my hubby that the only person I know who lives/lived in Florida was Melly. I'm so glad you showed up on the board today cause I was wondering how you were doing.

Thanks for your reply and understanding of my issues. I hope your doing well. muahs dahling.
