The Fight With Anxiety
ddnos posted:
I use the word "you and your" not to mean YOU, but it's used more as the universal you, as in all of us.

The Fight With Anxiety

Anxiety prowels in the night
looking for someone to torment

better watch out lest you be it's next victim
don't try to fight it with your feelings

anxiety is feeling resistant

it will only mock at your feeble attempts to overpower
fight with your mind

anxiety hates it when you do that

your mind has the power to oblivate anxiety
but your feelings fuel its flame
the strategy of anxiety has been effectively carried out

you've been trapped inside it's lair
not knowing how to get out

you try again to fight with your feelings
but anxiety fights back stronger

you are left defeated on the floor
the place where anxiety wants you

you don't understand what it means to be
battlling with the mind or battleing with emotions

until you do
your feelings will control you

Forgiveness is letting go of the hope that the past could have been any different --Unknown
