Feeling misdiagnosed

My mother is bipolar and I see the same talk therapist she sees. I feel like she is pushing this diagnosis off on me bc my mother and brother are both bipolar. How can you tell you are actually bipolar and not just depressed and coping through learned behaviors?

you need to see a psychiatrist for a diagnosis. therapists can't diagnose you. so if you want to see for sure if you are or aren't bipolar, see a psychiatrist.
