No one likes to take medication, but if you are bipolar, this will be a reality for you to remain well. Since there is no known cure for bipolar disorder, people will the illness have to regularly maintain their mental health with medication. Many of these medications are prescribed for length periods of times with dosage levels adjusted accordingly.If someone with mood swings leaves their manic depression untreated, it can lead to a lot of issues regarding their relationship with friends, family members and coworkers. Taking medicine as well as going to therapy helps keep a person's perception of their relationships in check and progressing as they should.
