I'm new to this site, so please forgive me if i am still learning how this works. this isn't a tip really, just a thank you. i've never had support group experience and i am so amazed to read post where you all are feeling things i feel. i might be a little roller coasterish emotionally, but finally people who understand. Thanks so much for sharing.

Hi Jadsy,
I to, am new to this site as just signed up this morning. You are not alone in the "roller coaster" thing as I've been doing that for years:) Have been bipolar (diagnosed) since 1994.. Always take my meds religiously....but do know that even they do not stop the manic episodes totally. At least, they are not as bad.
Take care.

jadsy replied to annie_mation17's response:
had an origional diagnosis of bipolar then after a hospitalization, classified as chemical imbalanced depression, and now bipolar 2. years of med not helping and now totally new meds. i don't have manic episodes, just the opposite. i just want to feel like a normal person. so tired of taking meds. and not feeling any better. my husband is ready to leave like every other day. today he told me how mad at me he is, even though he knows its not my fault. i don't think he's wrong for that, just i can't even take care of my own emotions, much less his. i've suffered through 15 years of his being self-employed, bankruptcies, sometimes even counting pennies to buy groceries, etc and been very supportive. what makes my illness any different? go to a support group, something! goodness knows i've done whatever i have to for him when he needs it. i'm getting a little angry at him that he has the nerve not to for me.

Hi all I'm Carl and new to the forum.

At last a forum to discuss bipolar stuff.

I was diagnosed with bi-polar recently after 2 1/2 month in hospital. I'm pretty much well again on meds, but not back to work yet. Hoping to next month - a bit anxious about that to say the least.

Thanks for the reply bpcookie,

So, just to confirm, I need to click on START A DISCUSSON in the discussion section ?

I forgot to mention that during my illness I wrote a number of things down, since I found that this helped. I've now decided to put the information in a website (which will remain live), for my own reflection and hopefully of use to other sufferers or their families.
It's www.something2getyouthinking.com .
I'm keen to receive feedback, so that I can try and take it into consideration as I develop the website.

Thanks again for your reply. I hope you remain well for life.
