    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

    Great Combination

I am taking Viibryd 40 mg antidepressant. Vitareal 50mg 3 times a day and 2 at bedtime. Remrol 1 at bedtime, and Lithium 1 300 mg morning and 1 300 at night (total of 600mg). I have NEVER had such a good combination. I am happy and relaxed and easy goin' and I want to be around people. Also I am energized and focused. I was slowly dieing, worried constantly, was very sad mostly, angry, hopeless, couldnt make eye contact. Couldnt be around people, was crawling out of my own skin, I just did NOT want to live but didnt want to kill myself either so I felt stuck and then the suicidal thoughts took hold. Everything started being "a way to go". Especially a train Id hear often from the tracks across the road. I had heard it as always but a thought came like an easy normal thought, "that would be a way". I had already demanded a gun be removed when I found out it was in the home but I couldnt remove a train, So I went away. I went into a stabilization unit and when they added the lythium and the remrol to what I was already on which I listed, I bloomed. I now feel alive and full of hope, energy, and laughter. I want to be around others again and I want to live. I have had the combo for 5 days now and already feel this much better. I know everyone is different with medications but all my years of dealing since 12 years old till now at 31 I had never had medicine have such a positive effect. I thought I was hopeless. I wasnt. Theres always hope.

I'm glad that you found a med combination that works for you! I know how good that feels! I've been on the same 2 meds for 20 years, and they have worked well for me most of the ttime. Of course, I still have "those days" but the meds I'm on have been a life saver!

    I'm happy for you!

Thats great news to hear you finally have a good combo that works for you. I haven't found the right combo (dose wise) yet but the meds are right but waiting for the right dose. Hopefully pdoc will leave the dose alone and let me stabilize a bit.
