I read in your forum that 80% of lumps found in breast is benign and I'm really hoping that this is the fact for my mum. I'm worried for her health and I hope you all can have her in your prayers - that the biopsy will turn out to be good news (lump is non cancerous).
Waiting for results is like forever and I really hope she will be her usual bubbly self as soon as all this is over.
So sorry your mum is going thru this frightful experience, but you did the right thing by getting her in to be checked quickly. If it is cancerous, it will be caught early and that is a great thing for her.
We all know how hard it is to wait for those results. Keep mum busy and upbeat, stay positive!!!!
Praying its negative - come back and let us know....
best to you and your family,
Jenna
Please keep us posted on how she is doing.
Blessings.

PS...Hurray for both of you acting quickly! Some folks try to put in on a back burner assuming it will all go away. Of course it never does, and they waste all that time! Glad to know you are both very smart ladies!

Sending you both positive thoughts and (((hugs)))!

Thanks for all your kind words and prayers. It is very helpful to know that someone out there is truly listening to the anxiety I am facing.
I brought my mum for a biopsy today. Being in the room with her is the most painful experience ever - seeing the doctor poking a needle as long as 15 cm and she was clutching on to my hands tightly. The whole ordeal was over in 15 minutes. The doctor took 3 samples from the lump and we will be able to get the results in 3 days. It will be the longest 3 days in my entire life, I'm sure.
Mum and I are attending a cousin's wedding in Singapore over the weekend and thus we will only be back in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) by Sunday and I will definitely be at the lab first thing on Monday morning.
I will keep you all posted on the developments and many thanks for your kindness and prayers.

For this end I have lit one of the candles (see the first post on this page.)
Blessings and a safe trip.

Try to have fun at the wedding and try not to worry. I know easier said than done. Just remember 80% of lumps are Benign (non-cancer). Wishing you both the best.
We are here for you and your mum.
Blessings

Thanks for your blessings.
I told mum about you lighting a candle for her and she smiled. She is grateful for your prayers and concern.
We went to a trade fair today. I am instilling positive thoughts in her, telling her that irrespective of the results we should live life happily and do the things that we want to do. I'm now taking over the task of cooking for the family and letting her do the lighter chores. I'm learning new things and she's enjoying the pampering... hahaha...
Thanks again and bless you too,
Mei Ling
Thanks for your wishes.
I am keeping her occupied with the things that we always do, however I'm taking over the heavier task at home and letting her do the lighter stuff for now.
I'll keep all of you updated.
Bless you too,
Mei Ling
I am glad you are keeping busy. That will help pass the time because waiting is so very difficult.
You are a wonderful daughter to step in and do so much!
Blessings and prayers,
Jenna

With everyone's blessings and prayers, both mum and I are feeling very positive about this whole episode.
Have a great weekend and bless you,
Mei Ling
Our Singapore trip was good - and my aunts told my mum not to worry yet.
I am applying "law of attraction" to bring good energy to mum and to visualize good happenings. I pray and hope for mum to be fine, healthy and to enjoy her golden years with me and my family.
Thank you for everyone's concern and please continue to keep her in your prayers.
Bless you,
Mei Ling
Sad to say... it is cancerous.
Now, we are waiting to see the doctor tomorrow so that he can give us a letter of referral to seek treatment in a government-funded hospital. I am not delaying even for one day - I'm going to make sure that mum gets immediate medical attention and be healthy again.
Mum is sad, but I told her to be positive and not even let one negative thought in her head. I will be with her in whatever way she requires and I pray and hope that she recovers soon.
Please pray for mum to be strong, positive and that she gets well soon. There is nothing I want now other than mum to be healthy and happy again.
So sorry to hear about your mum. Try to remain positive - hopefully her cancer was caught early.
There are many different treatments available for your mum and you can discuss them with her doctor and your aunt.
Please let us know what the doctors say today. We are all praying for your mum, and are always here to help and listen. We all understand what you are going through - so come here aand know that you will find compassion and understanding from all the ladies here.
Many positive cyber thoughts going your way.
Judy
