Wife's Surgery

Mark918 posted:
My wife had her surgery last week. She had a single mastectomy and some lymph nodes removed. The surgery went well and the DR was happy with everything. She was released the next day and has been at home recovering nicely. We are waiting for the pathology report and her follow-ups with the surgeon, chemo doc and the radiation doc. Our daughter was home to help out and our oldest son was also (and has been) a big help. I would like to thank everyone for their prayers and thoughts and let everyone know that even though I don't respond to alot of the posts, but I try to read as many as I can and my wife and I send out our prayers and thoughts to all.

Mark, thank you so much for updating us about your wife. I am so hapy to hear that the surgery went well and that the doctor was encouraged with the results.

Sounds like she has a pretty fine support group to speed her healing process...Folks to pitch in and do what she can't and consisting of those who love you....No better medicine!!

Please give her our best. We will continue to hold her and you in our thoughts.

Blessings.

Hi Mark,

Very glad to hear the surgery went well and you wife (what is her name?) is recovering nicely. Having a great support system is such a huge part of this process.

I will look for your post with the pathology results and in the meantime praying and sending good thoughts.

Just another update: we got the pathologist's report back and it showed the cancer in the breast had been reduced to under 2 cm and she had 27 nodes removed. Some were cancerous but there was nothing significant.

Jenna- My wife asked that her named not be revealed because it is an unique name and there are people in this area that might start trouble if they found out. So I could refer to her as my "BW" (beautiful wife).

Mark,
Thanks for the up-date on your "BW". Glad the tumor had been reduced. Sounds like she has a great support system and including you.

Prayers for a speedy and pain-free recovery. Sending all my best to all of you.

Always

Thanks for the update, Mark, and glad to hear the encouraging reports.

Love the "Beatiful Wife" approach...For a very long time we has referred to our husbands as "DH" (Usually meaning "Darling Husband" unless, of course, we are angry with him...Then there are virtually endless adjectives we might substitute for the "Darling" part! )

Give BW our good wishes!

Blessings.
