Fantastic News--Just an Infection!!

GGrandmaJan posted:
Hello All.

Dr Dreamy just called to inform me I have Strept in my lung. Go Figure that one. So now I will be on high-powered antibotic for 15 days.

No cancer---no Organizing Pneumonia---no nothing too serious just an infection. Geez, and I went thru a Broncho---lung Bio and I have just an infection. CRAP!!!!!

But I must say they certainly checked me for everything in the book and then some. Talk about this Dr going all out to find out what was wrong. I didn't think an infection would show up on a PET scan but he said it definitely would.

I am so relieved both with the phone call-----finally and the resullts. YAHOO!!!
Guess my body does not like giving up answers too well. Ya Think?

Always

Yippee, Jan! I am so glad to hear that it's nothing serious...well, to the extent that strep is better than organizing pneumonia or lung mets! I'm assuming they'll put you on the right antibiotics to clear this up, correct?

Hugs,
Michelle

Yessiryeeee, High powered antibotics. Watch my digestive system go into melt down. UGH But I do have some good meds for that too. I just can't believe I went thru all those procedures and to find it is just an infection. So Weird they couldn't figure that out sooner. Oh Well. They were searching for other things and had to rule them all out first. At least HE was on top of it. Thank Goodness.

How is our little handsome dude doing? I think he should be our board mascot. What do you think?

Do give him hugs and kisses from all of us.

Thanks
Jan

Boy, I don't think it has sunk in yet---that it is ONLY an infection. I really can't believe it. Am I lucky or what???

Now I can enjoy the rest of the summer and my MANY appts with the Dr. Handsome Dude. WOW. He said he was going to follow my care. YAHOO.

Michelle, that is the cutest baby. Another WOW. He looks so wide awake and rarin' to go.

Super great news Jan!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now what's your next plan for getting the handsome doc all to yourself again?
Why couldn't you just flirt with him like the rest of us do??????

GGrandmaJan replied to judyfams's response:
LOL Judy, Boy are you funny!!! This infection is going to take months to clear up. The Dr's words not mine. So I will get to see him many times in the next few months.

Geez, Judy, I did flirt with him and that is why HE thought I didn't trust him. That is why I got myself into this mess of trusting. LOL LOL---Hmmmmm. Plus today I asked him if he had read my letter. His statement was: I have been out of the office for a few days I believe it is here in my pile." Want to bet me----he found it in his mail-----and read it today???? All men are curious when they have mail. LOL LOL.

Thanks for the laugh tonight. You are a peach.

Jan,

I am really, really glad it is just an infection. Do they know why you got it in the first placd? I swear we are never the same after chemo.

I hope it goes away faster than your doc predicts. Yay and yippee!

Michelle, now that is one adorable baby!!!

hugs,

Thanks Jenna,

You know I was so happy to hear it wasn't ca or orgainizing pneumonia I did not even think to ask how I could have got this stuff. I guess strept isn't that hard to catch as it seems to be everywhere. Plus from Feb to April I was so busy doing stuff for taxes and everything I got myself pretty run down. So who knows. I am now on 21 days of antibotics. Then see him a few days after that. Not sure when I would do any more x-rays or CT scans.

I am just so happy these 2 docs were on top of it and didn't do a "Wait and See" routine.

Thanks for all the support.

Hope you are having a good day.

Thanks Jenna,

Antibotics are already doing a number on my "Gut". UGH. Taking acidpholsis but ran out of the meds my Onc Dr ordered for me last time.

I put in a call on Thurs to the Handsome Dude but no call back Thurs or Fri. That is O.K. tho----as I do NOT know his schedule. Grrrr. I keep forgetting to ask which days he is in the clinic. If his Dreamy Eyes didn't keep doing me IN---My brain just might have a rational thought in it. LOL LOL

I still can't over the fact he said he thought I didn't "Trust" him of all things. I did send him a letter explaining I did Trust him but due to the fact this weird stuff was in my lung I PANICKED!!! I had to explain somehow WHY I was acting so blasted Weird, Right??? Don't know if he read the letter but I feel better having sent it.

Now I have to get my wits about me as I see him again in about 2 weeks. How I am going to do that one is beyond me. LOL LOL. LOL.

Thanks again Jenna.

Hi Jan,
You have every right to ask whatever you need to and behave however you want!!! This was a scary experience and for him to think you didn't trust him - yikes~~ He sounds like a sensitive doctor dreamy dude! When it comes to our health, no question or behavior is unreasonable!!! This road we walk is always taking new turns, and it is scary sometimes.

You can do it with a big smile too!!!!

LOL, LOL!

Jenna
