I have watched this video at least 10 times!

The parents of one of the USA gymnasts watch her compete: http://www.buzzfeed.com/jpmoore/the-most-adorable-olympic-parents-ever

Can't you just feel the tension, stress, fear, relief and love?

Hope you ladies are having a great Tuesday!

I saw that last night and I couldn't imagine being a parent of one of these awesome ladies! How exciting! I thought she would fall over with pride and joy!

I was jumping up and down, crying and cheering, imagine close family and friends?? Totally awesome! We all need some happy things to focus on, for sure!

Yes, I also saw this. Tho' they are perhaps the most animated, it is apparent that every mom and dad has their heart in their throat!

I think we on this board are especially tuned in to the feelings of others...We empathize with the "thrill of victory and the agony of defeat" no matter whether it be in the Olympics or anywhere else along life's pathways!

I can't imagine how it must feel to have your child in one of these competitions...Or how it must feel to be a participating athlete! The pressure, the stress, the crushing losses...and, MOST HEADY OF ALL, watching as they raise your country's flag in honor due to something that YOU accomlished! What overwhelming pride you must feel! No wonder they weep!!!!

Blessings athletes....one and all!

Watching the parents cheer on their kids just about brings me to tears - I have gotten quite sensitive in the last couple of years. I love seeing our American Gold winners on the podium singing along to the National Anthem, even if they are just mouthing the words. So proud!
