So first of all, bummer that my first post went to computer heaven. Not sure why it didn't post and if this ends up being a duplicate, my apologies!

I got an email on Wednesday from a science editor for Diabetes Forecast, which is the monthly publication of the American Diabetes Association. She had found me and my breast cancer blog on Google, and she wanted to know if I would talk to her about managing diabetes and cancer.

Being the shy type, I responded with a "yes" and gave her my phone number. She called me late this afternoon and we talked for about 50 minutes about everything from being diagnosed with diabetes to managing glucose during chemo.

Of course, I don't know how much of our discussion she'll use, nor do I know how many other people she is interviewing for the article that will be published in the October edition. But she will send me a link and a hard copy of the magazine as soon as it goes to press.

All this made me look at the statistics about my blog. I've had 27,000 views from ten different countries! Wow, you just never know how you might be helping someone. I am honored to have that kind of an audience!

Hugs,
Michelle (who is going to have a big head :>)
