Jan - if you want, you can email me the .jpg files and I'll try to post them. They need to come as attachments in the email for this to work.

Hugs,

Testing: I'm cutting and pasting a photo from my desktop. Can you see it? (It's what happened when I asked my kids not to mix the play doh colors)

Can you see it?

Now I'm using the jpeg code from my Photobucket account and putting it in with the camera icon:

It looks like this:

But I take out the (IMG) on both ends before I hit OK. Can you all see it?

Haylen, could you see the pics I posted initially for Jan??? She could not, but they came out fine here and it seems several others could also see them. (2 pics)

I did not do anything more than simply copy and paste what she sent to me in her email. No special program, etc.

A while back I did the same thing in posting a picture of Geo. Clooney from one of the web sites...In other words, no attachments, but simply copy and paste the picture.

Unsure if the fault lay in method or machine??? Need to know what others are seeing or not seeing.

Rachael

PS....Interesting "creations" by the kids!!

Yep, came thru loud and awesome mix of colors. LOL.

I could not see the first pic you tried to send but could see the pic you sent using photobucket. Weird.

Thanks for trying, Haylen. I will figure it out some day.

Thanks Michelle for the offer. They really are not that important I was just trying to figure out HOW to get them on here. I am sure it is the Photo Program I am using. Now you will probably ask me what one it is and I do not know. LOL.

Ladies, ladies...I wish I could help because pictures are so much fun to see!

If you are using Internet Explorer, you should be able to post rather easily. This doesn't work with Safari, Chrome or Firefox, so far as I can tell.

Your picture must be on the internet somewhere, not on your pc's desktop or in your picture library on your pc's hard drive. It needs to be uploaded to Flickr, Shutterfly, Picasaweb (not the same as the Picasa photo-editing software), or Photobucket.

Once you've created an account, try uploading one picture. I use Picasaweb most of the time, which are the instructions I will provide.

Click on "upload" then select the picture from your pc (desktop or picture library) and double-click inside the picture.

It will upload and you'll see it on Picasaweb.

Once you see the picture in Picasaweb, go to the bottom and click on "OK".

Now go back up to the top of the page and click on the "Home" tab. You should see your uploaded picture.

Now click inside the picture, right click your mouse, and select "copy" from the dropdown menu.

Come back here to the text box, click inside the text box where you want the picture to show up. Right click your mouse and select "paste" from the dropdown menu.

Voila!

If you want a bigger picture, click once to select the picture, then double-click the picture to open it up. It should be a bigger version of the picture.

Then click in the picture and then repeat the copy and paste instructions above.

Uploading a profile picture is a different process. I'll give detailed instructions later...time for my breakfast, then we have to go pack up my mom for her move on Monday. Can't wait to get her closer to me. She'll be ten minutes away - perfect!

OMGoodness, Many thanks Michelle. I will have to try Photo-bucket and see if that works for me. I am sure I do not have the right photo program or I do not know how to work the one I have. LOL.

I wrote all your directions down as I still can't print out just the posts on here but get all the other garbage. LOL. I have a lot to learn on this computer.

Again many thanks.
