Most hospitals do not perform surgery if you have a temperature. Some also are more cautious and will not perform surgery if the cold really affects the upper respiratory system with phlegm, coughing and sneezing.
So I would suggest that you take care to have your husband take care of your son for the next few days.
Try to take care of yourself and know that we will be thinking of you and sending you good vibes on the 13th.
