O.K. Rachael, I made my appt for afternoon so hopefully you will be wide-awake and can keep us on the straight and narrow....If you are too tired perhaps Roberta could relieve you a time or two. LOL.

I see Dr. Dreamy and am loaded with my questions. I have them all typed out---double spaced them so have room to write his answers. I hope and pray he can take over my care. Seems as tho, I have ran out of Drs in our local area. Nothing like " burning ALL my bridges". LOL.

Anyone have a ladder handy???? Most of our rivers are running pretty full due to all our rain so need lots of ladders to replace the bridges. Leave it up to me to mess things up.---Again.

The consensus around here is most of the members in my support group are not fond of this new Dr. Here I thought I was the only one who didn't like his bedside manner. UGH. At least I have a plan of action. Most of the others have to take what they get as traveling is more difficult for them. Not Fair at all.

I am a little nervous cause I do not want Dr. Dreamy to turn me down but just don't know how specialized he is. He is also an Internist so hopefully he can order my scans in a timely manner. MY timely manner that is!!!!!

At least, I know he will listen to me. I worked darn hard the last 6 months in getting a good patient---Doctor relationship going. Plus I do respect his knowledge. I am sure he isn't going to Blow me Off like Dr. Iceberg did. LOL. Thanks Judy, for that lovely nickname for him. Fits him to a "IT"...... In fact, I almost called him that at my support group. Thank goodness, I caught myself in time as some of them do like him. UGH.

O.K. I am rambling. Sorry about that. Just hate these Nerves!!!!

Wishing all of you the very best. We can all do this as we are very strong women. We are "Warriors"!!!!!

Jan,
Ok nervous Nelly calm down Take a nice calm breath in and out good, you are in good hands and will be just fine. I am sure he will do all he can and if he can't take over your care he will make sure that someone good can and will. He has taken good care of you so far and answered all of your questions right !!?? Ok so please just relax and get a clear head before you go in to see him. That way you will be able to ask all that you have to ask without being all worried and stressed out over mister iceberg.
I hope this has helped you feel better I know it is hard when you have found doctors that are nice and make you feel that they truely care then they are let go and move away. But you have to stay strong and not let this get you down you are the worrior and will come out the winner not that cranky doctor.
Someone needs to give him a shot of kindness right in the you know what lol.lol. I am sure we could find a lot of people that would like to give him a shot or two lol.lol. Or a nice kick in the --- !!!!! Ok I hope I got a laugh out of you good luck at the doctors at least you get to see those dreamy eyes for a while that will get a smile out of you. Have a good day talk to you soon let us know how you make out. Angel Hugs Roberta,

You know we will be with you tomorrow...And we will be passing around the pics of Dr. Dreamy so that we can all make him blush when we show up grinning from ear to ear...Do ya think our giggles might unnerve him a mite???

Are you breathing???

Stop worrying about the rivers! Didn't you remember that Pinkie has pontoons??!!

Just knowing that your judgment on "Doc. Iceberg" was not far from the mark should restore your sense of how well you judge docs!! When are you gonna begin to trust yourself and not walk on egg shells???!!! We who "know" you from this community would bet dollars to donuts that you are a great patient!! You are the only one who seems to forget that!!! Shame!!

Will be sending tons of good thoughts your way!!

Blessings.

O.K.---O.K. Rachael, Got your message loud and clear. I will relax.

Oh Have Mercy, on my poor Doc. I can get him to blush without even trying---I can't imagine if WE all gang up on him. You have to remember this is the season to be Jolly. but Please take pity on him. I need him to be part of my new team. LOL LOL.

OMG---that was so funny---"giggles unnerve him"!!!! He knows I am a Nut but to have all my Nutty Friends show up in his office might be a little tooooooo much. LOL Roberta, are you ready with your Christmas lights attached to your bra? Do you have any left for my bra???? Holy Moly---this is getting insane. I do believe tho, we all need to laugh more.

O.K. my reference to ladders was cause I have burnt all my bridges in the local area when it comes to docs. YES, I remember "Pinkie" has pontoons. I was thinking when Pinkie left to escort other ladies and/or gents to their appts I might need some ladders as the bridges are gone. LOL.

Thanks Everyone, Your concerns mean a lot to me!!!!!

Well, Dr. Dreamy did come thru for me. HA---I knew he would. Never a doubt in my mind.

Said, For now we will just go with the Feb date for the next scans and go from there!" He also recommended another Dr in the Clinic. One that would be more open-minded!!!! Now what he meant by that he wouldn't say. I asked him if he thought I was such a difficult patient. Said ""No--no way. Just thought this other Dr would be a better fit for you." Really funny, when you stop to think about it, tho.

Then as he is listening to my lungs and heart---he said" hold your paper still----(The one I had typed out on the computer and double spaced)-----I am reading your questions" What a super Dr he is!!! Besides being so handsome he is a really caring and though Dr.

He said I did need to have a Onc Dr in my corner on the off chance I would need one again. Also there is a fine line on doing so many scans on me as they do have quite a bit of radiation. As my ca was caused from radiation he did not want me getting tooooo much.

Well, Crap, why didn't Dr Iceberg tell me that from the get-go. I would have understood that one better.

Due to the circumstances of the day yesterday this was a pretty serious and not much humor to the appt. Neither of us felt like laughing. He did say when his wife texted him early in the day and told him what was going on he went into his inner office cause tears were flowing. Now that is a very caring person as well as a great Dr.

Blessings.
Jan

P.S. do hug your kids and grand-kids. They are so precious.

Whew!!! (Did you hear all of exhale that all went well for you???!!!)

I was just thinking about "a better fit"...Finding the "right" doc amounts to, first of all, locating someone who is competent and knowledgeable...However, it also needs to be someone who, quite literally, speaks the same language as we do! Sometimes the problem we experience is as simple as talking past one another...Being on another stretch of road than we are on and "just missing"!

I kinda think that's what Doc Dreamy is referring to, no?

So glad that, despite the dreadful day for so many, your appointment went well. I am celebrating that to be sure!!

Blessings.

Thanks Judy,

Geez, was wondering where you were going with the"F" ???? Too funny---Food, family and friends. Thanks for the giggle.

I am ever so grateful I was sent up to Dr.Dreamy. The best thing to have happened to me in these last several years with my journey. I still wonder what he meant about this other Dr being more "open-minded" ??. Guess I will find out.

If only Dr. Iceberg would have explained about the "radiation" in the scans I could have understood him better. Oh Well, he had his chance now I am moving on. I was so surprised tho, to find out I was NOT the only that didn't think much of Iceberg.

BTW---many thanks for nicknaming him. It fits him to a "T". You are so clever and funny.

Hope you are not getting any snow. Stay Safe and Warm.
Hugs

Thanks Robeta. Didn't get the lights in time but will try again next year. LOL. Thanks for the offer. All I needed was one Red light---for Ruldoph.

Yep, this great Doc did answer all my questions. Did not blow me away like Dr. Iceberg. LOL. Read my paper and answered them all.

Super---Duper Doctor. Too bad I can't mention his real name as I would highly recommend him to others. In fact, I did suggest my friend with lung cancer to go see him. I believe she will after the holidays.

Hope you are staying warm and Safe.
Angel hugs right back at you.
