    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Update on Melissa
    Janice_78 posted:
I've copied John's post from another board.

My sis, Kathy, came in from CA last night. So Leslie, my sister-in-law and Melissa's brother, Brooks, took turns watching and caring for Melissa last night and this morning, so I was actually able to close my eyes for about 5 hours straight in bed while I held Melissa's hand and arm the whole time.
That was the most continuous rest I've had in 3 weeks. Can't say I slept the whole time but it was still recharging.
At about 4 am our time while I was listening to Melissa breathe--it actually sounded like she was saying my name--over and over, but all of a sudden it stopped.
I opened my eyes and looked for any signs of life.
It is very dark and I did not want to turn on a light since it hurts Melissa's blind eyes, and I could not see any while stirring from my own resting coma.
I immediately called for Brooks, who was in the great room not too far away. He came rushing in and put a hand to her heart. And he said, faint but still there.
    Yes, she still is breathin'....

I am glad to know John has some help. Poor guy, really needs his family around him at this time.

Really appreciate the up-date. Thanks for thinking of us.

    Hugs to you.
