Roberta, summer is for sure my favorite season because I love all the flowers, and just getting outside without jackets and sweaters is awesome!
I have 2 weddings this summer and one is at Fenway Park, so that should be really cool! The couple is getting married on home plate and a party in a private room there.
I have a day trip to Newport, RI planned with my support group. We are having brunch at one of the mansions outside by the water, and then planning to shop, shop and more shop!!!
Hopefully get some beach days in. My cousin has a house in Gloucester so we will take my mom for a nice visit there. That is all I know so far, but honestly just getting outside to walk and have my coffee on the deck is totally awesome to me!!!!!

enjoy the weekend - out to do yard work before it gets too hot!
hugs,
Jenna

Hi Roberta and Jenna,

I've been absent for awhile and it's good to get back and see what everyone is up to. I've been in northern Virginia, took the train, visited my niece in Reston and my sister in Burke, very nice to see them and families. Just as I got back the sister I had gone to see had a mammogram that turned up a suspicious area, so she just had a biopsy, we're all anxiously waiting for the results.
Summer sounds great for both of you, I'm glad you have so many fun things planned. That is what summer is all about. Roberta, I've always wanted to go to a balloon fest, that sounds like so much fun. And Jenna I've always wanted to go to Newport, one of my sisters went last year, did a tour of several resort towns nearby, she just loved it, the scenery and the mansions, she said, were just unbelievable. And you're right about just having coffee on the deck, enjoying that soft morning air you get in summer. And, of course, our flowers.

My big plan for summer is a Diep flap surgery on July 10. I've been on the medical conveyor belt for this, have to get clearance from my neurosurgeon and several other doctors before the surgery. There are so many plans to made for this it's kind of overwhelming. About a month after this we go to the beach with my extended family, about 24 people in one of the largest beach houses at Nags Head. We've done this for about 38 years now. Love the time with my sisters, that's the best part.
Hope you are both well and hope Kaiden is now fully recovered, ready for summer fun.
All the best to you,

Janie

Janie,
So very nice to see your back and that you have been busy seeing other places and family that is so nice. I love road trips also they are so much fun. Oh the Balloon fest is so very pretty all of tgose balloons taking off early in the morining and again in the evening is the best thing to see. I want to go on a ride but my fear of heights has always gotten in the way we shall see if I can get past that this year. I did finally go up in a small plane on Fathers day at a fly in breakfast they do at a small airport near by. I was very scared at first but within seconds I was just looking at everything and it was so pretty I really enjoyed myself. But if you ever get to see a Balloon fest near you go they are so very pretty and you will never see anything like it unless you are there in person. Sitting and looking up at all of those balloons taking off is beautiful it is like being in a dream or movie they are just so big and colorful. I will take picture and put some on here after. That is another thing about summer I love all the different things that are going on all over that I can go and see and do always something going on someplace within driving distance.
I am sorry to hear about your sisters mammo sending loads of good wishes her way and angel hugs also. Also loads of best wishes and luck on your surgery on July 10 and recovery so you can go to the beach with the family and have loads of fun.
Kaiden is all healed up and oh he is already going going going don't need to wait for summer lol.lol. He is very silly and gets all over the place now he will say aww oh then go get into something it is so darned cute and funny ! But we still have to tell him no and direct him to his toys or something else he can play with. He loves to turn the radio on and dance or touch the T.V screen and thinks it is going to move like our Ipods do lol.lol. But we have to keep telling him no touching the T.V. or the radio. He just laughs at use and thinks it is a game and takes off plays with his toys for a while and then right back at them. Keeping me very busy busy during the week and both of us on the weekends when we are inside. He loves being outside and going for rides so when it is nice that is where we are outside doing something.
Hope all is well and that your surgery goes well and you heal fast and have that great beach trip with the family. Have a great day angel hugs Roberta,
Roberta

Jenna,
I have always wanted to go to Newport RI but have not made it there yet. The wedding at the ball park sounds like a lot of fun. I am with you on the beach days I love to be near the water I don't care if I get to go in just have to be near water. I agree sitting on having coffee is very relaxing and just hearing the birds waking and the quite of morning is the best. I used to do this before Kaiden and when i was the first one up around 5:30 now I don't sleep so well due to my back and all. So I try to sleep more in the morning 6:30 if am lucky 7. So it isn't as quite and others are up and out around here but still nice to sit outside once in a while if I get the chance. I do more sitting out in the evenings after Kaiden goes to bed and things are slowing down for the night. Well I have things to do today before going to Beths moms 60 birthday party. Making cupcakes and have to finish the gift a stepping stone with Kaidens foot print in it. Just need to paint the flowers and butterfly on it. Have agreat day angel hugs Roberta,

HI Roberta,

It looks like you and the other ladies are going to have all great summers, nothing better than having planned events, vacations etc.

On the 8th we leave for Seattle, via, Lake Tahoe, San Fransisco, I am taking my bike and Golden Gate Bridge here I come. Will ride across that. Then on to Seattle where husband and daughter will ride there bikes down to Portland. Two day event then home.
Have a few days at the Mountain Cabin Time share after that,

Then the best is saved for last, two weeks in Alaska. We will fly up and rent a car for a week and go and see some of the sights, then board a cruise ship for a week getting off in Vancouver, Ca, then home.

Not sure about going up in a hot air balloon, though would not mind taking a ride on a hand glider, only problem is you spend all the time prepping and next thing you know you are on the ground. I want to be up there for at least thirty minutes to really get the feel of what it is truly like...

Cleaning the house is not on the list, that will be done in Oct before the family arrives for my daughters wedding in November, the garden is all planted and may get some of my attention when I am home, how is that.

Love to all

Mary

Mary,
Oh your summer sounds like a lot of fun also, I don't know about riding a bike across that bridge I am so afraid of bridges. If I did it my eyes would be close not good and I would be going so fast everyone on the bridge would be running to get out of my way not good and screaming like crazy. Oh what a sight that would be a crazy women let lose on the bridge lol.lol. I have a very hard time driving over them I turn the music up and just keep breathing like rachael alway says in and out it does work but boy am I glad when I am on the other side. When I take road trips I try and stay away from them as much as I can lol.lol. Alaska oh it is so pretty my cousin was there when in the Army his family loved it. Take a lot of pictures the colors he says are beauitful this time of year so bright. Well have a blast one all your fun events this summer I will think of you if I get the nerve to go on that hot air balloon ride we shall see !!! Have agreat day angel hugs Roberta,

HI Janie, hoping and praying that your sister has "negative" results. I hope for you that you can go and enjoy your traditional time with your sisters - that sounds so awesome. Your surgery is really coming up soon, I can't believe its almost July!

Mary, that sounds like an awesome trip! I hope you have a blast!

Roberta, I so agree with you about the water. There is something very tranquil and peaceful being near the ocean, especially early morning and dusk. I love it! My brother is thinking about buying a house on the beach about an hour from our home town, and I am keeping my fingers crossed it goes together! It would be awesome to have a family house to go to and make great memories. My parents had a house on Nantasket Beach which they sold about 10 years ago, and boy it was fun being there. It got to be too much of an upkeep, but now my brother is missing the beach so much he is ready to buy a property. Keep your fingers crossed ladies!

Then all I will need is that cannoli ice cream Roberta, and I will be one happy lady!

blessings -
Jenna
