    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Yours in health,

Because of our newly designed site our previous link to the candles has been apparently absorbed into all the candles, and it became necessary to reestablish a link. Please click on the new site to find our group. Keep our candles burning!

    Blessings.

Just a reminder...When there is nothing you can do or you feel alone and frightened, lighting a candle sure can help! Give it a TRY!!

Rachael, is this the post that you would like to have made into a sticky? I notice that the link is very long and spreads across the entire page. Was it like this before or is this from our recent changes?

We might be able to use a URL shortener and post this again with the new link.

Yes, it is. The address "GRRRRREEEEWWWW" when we had the last change over to this format. The change sorta ate it up the original addy, and I had to register for us again. When I did, this is what they gave me for F2F.

If there is some more manageable addy we can do and still retain the F2F spot on the site, please GO FOR IT! I think it might even look more appealing and mamageable to folks and the might make more use of it!

    Thanks Andie!!

Here is the url we can use: http://bit.ly/bcGLFD. (or you can create your own on http://bit.ly/)

However, to get the full benefit of this post, I think it may be a good idea to include a little bit about what the Candle Site is, what it stands for, and why to participate. I'm just thinking that new members or visitors to our board may not know.

    What do you think?

Probably a good idea. Part of the following can be foiund on the Candle Site. I have added a bit to it.

From time to time (more often than not) we have friends who are dealing with most difficult situations. Though there usually is little we can do to help, the idea of lighting a candle provides all of us an opportunity to focus on them and to offer a prayer or send good thoughts. I hope it lets them know how much we love them. I know it lets us feel like we are somehow holding their hands.

It also can help reassure us if we are the ones facing the challenge...I like the idea that there is a little light illuminating the darkness as a reminder that there is someone who sure could use a hug and some healing!

We are in the "F2F" Group.

    Will that work?

Thanks for all the help on this!
