I am glad that some doctors out there feel that 40 is the new 50 . I feel a women should be able to get her mammo done at 40 and not wait till 50. I was dx right before my 45 birthday cancer doesn't wait till you turn 50 to show up. It comes at any age I am seeing more and more women with breast cancer even younger then myself. So this is a very good time to start testing at 40 if not sooner. I also think women should do self breast exam get to know your breast, and how they feel. That way if something changes and you feel something different you can let your doctors know. That is how I found my lump a self exam in the shower I felt the lump. The doctor felt the lump the women doing my mammo felt the lump, but it did not show on mammo because it was under my breast so close to the ribs. So women need to do self exam and their mammos to stay on top of things. Be one step ahead of the cancer get it before it can get you.
I really like that 40 is the new 50 very good message to pass along. Have a great day angel hugs Roberta

Hugs right back to you Roberta!
