This is a very informative short article that all of us should read as many friends and family members come to us to ask our opinions, and at least we should be knowledgeable about the newest research.

Judy - I am newly diagnosed with a lumpectomy scheduled for 2/4/2011. I have a friend who went through a mastectomy, chemo and breast reconstruction over the past year and a half. I know my experience is going to be so different from hers, so I was glad to read that my prognosis is as good or better. My sister is a 10 years survivor after having a BCT. Thanks for recommending this article.

was your breast tender and sore to the slightest touch? b4 you found out you had a lump... last visit to my dr i was fine which was about 4 months ago but for the past month it has been very tender. and she as well said that my breasts are naturally a little lumpy from dried milk ducts. so i cant tell what to look for.
