    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

I highly recommend that you read the article listed in the lower right hand corner of this page Breast-Conserving Therapy Better Than Mastectomy?

    http://www.webmd.com/breast-cancer/news/20101217/breast-conserving-therapy-better-than-mastectomy ?

This is a very informative short article that all of us should read as many friends and family members come to us to ask our opinions, and at least we should be knowledgeable about the newest research.

Judy - I am newly diagnosed with a lumpectomy scheduled for 2/4/2011. I have a friend who went through a mastectomy, chemo and breast reconstruction over the past year and a half. I know my experience is going to be so different from hers, so I was glad to read that my prognosis is as good or better. My sister is a 10 years survivor after having a BCT. Thanks for recommending this article.
