As you requested, my genetic testing was negative. I was so happy to not have to worry about passing that specific little buddy to my daughters and grandchildren. Since I am over 65, they say it was unusual to have this Ca.

Now I'm having cataracts removed. The first one has been a breeze. No pain, seeing better each day. The next one is 7/13.

I know I'm off base now, so let me assure everyone they will get through this with prayers and patience. Also, if not healing, don't forget a Wound Care facility or doctor.

Take care my friends. I pray for everyone to be healed.

Thanks, Kay

PS: I am not taking Tamoxifen as I have cirrhosis of the liver (non-alcoholic) and discussed with my oncologist who said it was okay so that my liver is not compromrised in anyway.

Hi Kay!

Thanks for the update! So glad to hear the genetic test was negative. As we know, that doesn't mean you or your daughters won't get cancer, but at least eliminates one cause.

Good luck with second eye surgery. I was told at my last eye exam I have the start of cataracts, so I'm sure I'll be facing that same thing in the future--as do so many of us as we age. One more instance where we're lucky to have the scientific advances to make such things possible.

Blessings, Di

Always good to hear positive updates from a Friend as well as her personal encouragment....that means much not only to newbies but to many of us who continue to live in equal amounts of fear and hope!

Know that Pinkie will be there for you on the 13th....You'll be able to hear us shoutin' and singin' as we approach your home! Please keep us posted on how you are doing. Okay?

Just when the caterpillar thought her world was over, she became a butterfly! Don't give up five minutes before the miracle!!
