It seems that this community has had little traffic because most of the troubles and needs are addressed on the general breast cancer site. However, I thought that perhaps we need to take this one on another path...One frequented by Friends who just like to visit a bit and share and laugh and complain ...You know... For those who are busy with life and want to have a cup of tea or coffee (or sometimes something stronger!
) with a Buddy!
So, let's try opening that door, shall we? Otherwise Bonnie went to alot of trouble for nothing...and we're loosing a chance to vist!!
May I be first to share something? Last Friday my DH and I celebrated our 45th Wedding Anniversary!!!! Kinda neat, eigh? And you know what? I am still crazy in love with him!
I know I am more than blessed and try very hard to never take him for granted...despite the fact that sometimes he really *&%# me off!! And I never do anything wrong!!
So there!! I have begun the sharing....All join in soon! Okay?!

Greetings my Michigan friend, 45th anniversary, that's wonderful in todays times and congratulations. It saddens me to come here and see posts that are 2 weeks old and no responses. WebMD board must take some responsibility as they created this mess. Sorry Caprice or whoever is in charge now.
Tomorrow was to be my and Madeline's wedding, but my numb (Damn) left leg started to take naps and now it seems my left thumb is following suit. Will see the neuro surgeon Friday 17th, come aboard bring the "Pinkie" and we'll have fun as usual even in trying times. Love you all and appreciate everyone very much. Blessings and sunshine and roses to all as Karen (KQT) would say.

Once again, I am sorry that you had to psotpone your special day, but know it will happen soon...Our Jaydee won't let a sleeping leg or anything else stand in his way!! He's just too stubborn!!
Hey, Jaydee, lets' try and spread the word via emails for our more senior member (Not AGE! Merely been with us longer!!) to meet at this site to update one another...What do you think? Like with medicine, seems we can't rely on too many except ourselves!

I've lurked here for years, but rarely write. I feel that I know you, though you may not know me. But that is all right. Just finished my second bout of BC. Lumpectomy and radiation again. As I laid on the table each session, I mentally pictured all of you standing around me chatting and cracking jokes. What an eclectic, motley group we are! THANK YOU for being with me. My eldest son got married during my rads. It was nice to take two days off for that. If anyone wants to see photos (of someone's son you don't even know), check them out at www.studio7photo.net Scroll on "Slideshow", then down to Renee and Grant. You may have to "Temporarily allow Pop-ups". I tear up every time I look at the photos. They are so in love and happy together. It's reassuring to know that another woman loves my son as much as I do. Let's all share the GOOD TIMES; Enjoy each day. . . . ~Jane

Hi all!
A quick update on where I am now! Finished with Arimidex in July 09, so "officially" done with treatment--everyone seems to think this should make me happy, but in reality it's like my security blanket is taken away. For now my surgeon and oncologist are following up with me once a year, and I'm having an annual MRI as well as mammogram. So far so good!
We celebrated our 40th anniversary in June and are heading to Italy the first week in Oct as our gift to each other. I just spent 3 days with my girlfriend from Saginaw who is doing mission work in Indonesia and was home for 6 weeks--so good to catch up with her! I'm still working full time at Kohl's, but seriously considering retirement--time will tell! I have carpal tunnel surgery scheduled on my right hand Oct 21 after the Italy trip, so will have a few weeks off work to heal and decide how badly I really want to go back to work!!
Well, I've taken enough of your time with "me" stuff. I enjoy keeping up with everyone here. We are all such a help to one another, both emotionally and in keeping up with the latest treatments, etc across the country and beyond! Thanks to everyone who participates.

Congrats on the 40th....We beat you by 5! And we only got to Stratford not Italy! (Must admit tho' the fault lay not in anyone by ME...I don't fly and that kinda limits travel. But DH did get to Italy and England several year ago and loved every minute.) Have a super time!!! Want a full report on your return.

And we only got to Stratford not Italy! (Must admit tho' the fault lay not in anyone by ME...I don't fly and that kinda limits travel. But DH did get to Italy and England several year ago and loved every minute.) Have a super time!!! Want a full report on your return.Sorry about the surgery. Look for Pinkie in your drive in October!

Glad to hear you and DH behaved yourself at the border! We are skipping Stratford this year because of Italy (all our dollars in one basket!), but really miss it and plan to be there again next year!
