freefeather posted: the place to be ! Sometimes I feel like "Darling" pitch fork in hand and a real smile on the ol face....we gardeners never learn. Last 2 days have been spent literally in the kitchen. Made up a huge pot of chili and froze up 18 qt's using fresh stuff from the veggie bank! Today was a trial and error day for me, never processing Anaheim's B4 it was more a trial than error as I followed every book I could with instructions and I have come to the conclusion I experienced a full day of insanity for something I will never try again.

I keep looking outside and I watch the deer as they eat my flowerbeds to nubs..wanting much to get to the seeds B4 my chickens do...and looking forward to the next 2 days of work outside the home for a break! Crazy crazy. Glad to see some familiar faces in this crowd and all you new faces...I hope to get to know!

We sure are a bunch of wonderful resilient & awesome women R we not ladies! Keep those boot straps pulled up!

Yes, we are indeed a great bunch of great ladies...and a few wonderful men too! I once gave my Mom a plaque which read: Here lives a wild, wonderful, wacky woman! I think we should each have one in our kitchen! (Okay...I'm open to what the men's plaque would read????? Make it good!!!!)
