Need Good Thoughts

rachael67 posted:
Am going through a troubling time just now...Actually, an ongoing trouble that just raises its ugly head from time to time to remind me it is still there. I could use some good thoughts and prayers to help make it over another of these periods.

Thanks, Friends, and Blessings.

Rachael, When I first wrote F2F 6 years ago as a frightened Newbie you were the first to respond. Thru the years you have helped so many. You are in my thoughts and you certainly deserve better days ahead. I hope whatever is bothering you is resolved quickly.

INCOMING! (as my 2 year old likes to yell before launching an attack on her big sister)

Positive and warm thoughts coming to you from Southern California. And a virtual hug!

(Thank you for making this Newbie feel welcome as well)

Hello Rachael, Here is a Big Hug for you. How time flies, I haven't been here in a year. I never forgot all your kind thoughts and prayers, as well as all the strong wonderful women here. May God give you strength in what ever you are going through.
I didn't make it a year with out another little "creature" calcification popping up this week. Probably another torture Stereotactic biopsy, the word reminds me of a dinosaur.
Anyway, you are in the arms and prayers of so many here.
Prayers,
Alma

rachael67 replied to BeBrave's response:
Oh, Alma, how sweet of you! But I am sorry to hear that the damnable "T-Rex" is haunting you again! (Yes! You are so right about that type of biopsy sounding like a big, ugly dinosaur! Hey! I just thought of a business you and I can go into!!! You know how they have all sorts of cartoon character band aids for kids? Well, we will design a dinosaur bandage for ladies who need a stereotactic biopsy!!!! It might just give them a little grin when they could really use it...and it might make us rich!!! How about it?!)

In the meantime, please know we are beside you whenever you have the procedure, and do let us know how you are doing. Holding you in my heart!

Very sadly I believe that tomorrow will bring my dog to the end of her journey....This weekend has been very difficult for her; breathing problems, no appetite and much coughing, gagging and sneezing...No way for her to live!

It is not an easy decision, but one that must be made...

God, I am so sad and miss her already! Please think of us...It's so hard!

Thanks.

Hi Rachel...I am new to this sight and am feeling like you right now,so I don't know how much help I am for you...but I do understand...In the midst of all of my BC trials and tribulations we had to put our 13 year old lab/retriever mix (Lucy) down...same reasons..she couldn't really eat or drink any more, and we dealt with it all summer and then we knew it was time...very hard...I usually get out and do "retail therapy"...but I don't really have anything to buy any more! I think I have been going through this too long...I wish better days ahead for you...Lori

rachael67 replied to Lori6681's response:
Aw, Lori! How very kind of you to reach out to me when you are hurting so much! It makes your concern especially sweet!

Loosing my pet seems to come at a time when I am already feeling lost in so many ways and for so many reasons...The fates like to wait until we are really vulnerable to toss challenges in our direction!

Not having Haley here to greet me every morning and to make me feel important and needed is tough. Sometimes now I notice her NOT being there more often than when she was actually present! (Did I take her too often for granted? Do I do the same for others I love? Most probably! And shame on me for being so human!)

This virtual "hand-holding" feels most warm and caring to me. I hope this kind of exchange and sharing helps you also. They gave us so much, it means there are so many good memories to fill the emptiness once we get beyond the grief.

Again, thank you and many blessings.

Rachael

Oh Rachael, I'm so sorry to hear of Haley's passing. Please accept my condolences. I absoluetely love dogs, better than most of the people I know. Yes Haley will be missed by you for a "time". But time will ease the pain. After loosing my little buddies prior to bc; during my treatments, we adopted an elderly dog with health issues. I decided she was a good fit - we all have health issues was my thought. When we go on walks, she doesn't pull the leash (LOL) She doesn't RUN out into the street (reduces stress) She hates being along (I can now relate to that (sometimes I didn't feel understood during treatment) That "new girl" has been a blessing. I hope someday soon, you too, will be able to have another blessing in your life. Right now, just know that you are loved by all of us on the bc exchanges and we understand your hurt. You'll be in my prayers. Take very good care! Fern
