Needle Biopsy Scheduled for Friday

BeBrave posted:
Saw my surgeon today, needle biopsy scheduled for this Friday. Will get the results some time next week. I love when he spouts statistics at me. "80% of calcium deposits are not cancer", my face must have told him differently, since last year at this time, I was the 20% with insitu cancer. Blah Blah. Just venting here, sorry. Hope every one is well and cherished, if that makes sense.
Hugs,
Alma
P.S. I'm sneaking to the yarn shop before the biopsy Friday, don't tell anyone!

Thanks Rachael, hope you are doing better. They placed a Titanium clip, I couldn't find any info here on Web Md. Other sites didn't give much info either.
Stay warm!

(As for me? Well, today is a bit rougher than normal as our dog is not doing well. We are taking her to the vet to see if we can get some meds to ease her apprehension and/or pain....I'll be darned if she is going to suffer. Just wish my pets and hugs could make it all better! Guess that is the magic wand I keep looking for both for her and for all my "Friends"!! Thanks for asking...Sometimes life is very challenging!)

Rachael, Sorry to hear your dog is not feeling well. I have a cat that's 13 years old. He is very skinny now, he used to be so big. When I come home from work, and can't find him right away, my heart seems to feel real pain, not knowing what I will find. Isn't that awful to feel that way? He is still with us.
I just got the call today from the doctor, everything is OK, no cancer this time. I am so relieved, and also so mad at myself for not being more confident in the results. The mind can some times cause more damage than anything else.
Stay strong, I know it's not easy, but we are all survivors. A friend of mine had thyroid cancer, we would ask her how she was everyday, she would just say, "Well, I woke up this morning."
Hugs,
Alma

YEA!!!!!! I am so glad for you and am celebrating big time! I think we "borrow trouble" (tho' I preach against it, I seem to do it quite well!) as a kind of defense mechanism...If we prepare for the worst, anything better will look wonderful!!

Ah, how I can appreciate your fears when entering the house and not seeing the pet! In fact, this year has been especially difficult for many friends who have animals. Seems more and more were sickly and/or dying. We visited one friend, left her home to go to dinner and then returned....I was afraid to go in her home!!! Her poor dog was in such bad shape and I just couldn't bear to be there when she would find him dead! (NO! That didnt' happen, but even with someone else's pet I felt what you described!!)

Oddly enough, however, we are such silly humans that we "adopt" these little critters, take them into our homes and into our hearts with full knowledge that most likely we will see them through the end of their lives and it will tear us apart...But we do it over and over again because of the joy and love they bring! Hope we return that favor in kind!!!

Again, celebrate the good news!

Blessings.
