Can you start pumping after giving birth or do you need to nurse first and then begin pumping? I would rather pump than breastfeed so that my husband and stepkids will be able to feed the baby to.

You can actually do both pretty easily. You may want to nurse because it may take some work to get things flowing, but once it is pumping should be easier.
