my daughter was breast feeding but wasn't producing enough so had to go to similac formula. Since he is constipated and in pain. The Dr. said to give the baby 1/2oz apple juice with 1/2oz of water. It's not working very well. Any ideas out there.

Karo syrup would help but I would talk to the doctor because I/m not sure how much to give at that age. My daughter (3 1/2 yrs) was older when I had to give it to her. We started out at a teaspoon for a few days in each bottle and it helped with the combination of diluted apple juice. You may even try prune juice as prunes also gets things moving.
