Breastfeeding and periods, when did you get yours?
Wendy12345678 posted:
I had my third son about 9 months ago. With my first two I got my period back at around 4 or 5 months post partum, and nursed them both exclusively for 1 year. I'm also breastfeeding with this one but have not had a period yet. I get nervouse that I'm pregnant again every month because I've never gone so long without a period! How long did it take everyone else?

DS was 10 months when I got my period this time. I forget how long it took with DD. Part of it depends on how often you nurse. He was pretty much breastfed until just before 9 months old because he was not interested in food.

For my 1st bb, I was breastfeeding and I got my period back around 3 months, i did nursed her for 10 months. For my 2nd bb, i am breastfeeding and my period comes back around 3 months of bb borned. He is 5 months now, I am still breastfeeding him. I asked the doctor about my period comes early. According my bb Dr., if my milk is enough, I won't have my period until stop nursing. He suggests me to give my son formula as supplement if case he does't intake enough milk. Dont' worry, I think you are on good hand. Good luck

With my now 3 year old son my period started back up at 9 months post partum. With my youngest, my period just started and she is 8.5 months old. I think that every woman and every post partum experience is different.
