    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    oral cancer
    worn1 posted:
My husband has just been diagnosed with oral cancer-right cheek. He has been told it has to be removed surgically. He was turned down by 3 surgeons due to other health problems to include cardiac. I have been told he is going to be disfigured. I am dealing with his anger right now. I could care less about his looks --we have been married 29 years--and I understand about the anger. I would appreciate any information anyone could give me on what to expect after the surgery. And how you dealt with it as the person with cancer and the person who is the care giver.
    Thank you

Thank you for the information. We were lucky with surgeon number 4. He has an 80 percent chance of making it through surgery and the doctor has explained to us what to expect post op.
    Again thanks

I'm so glad! Please take care of yourself as well as him! Best of luck and best in health to you both -
