    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Yours in health,

Im sorry for your friend. I was in similar situation. I was the one who has cancer and for me it helped that my friends were just there. You dont have to discuss it, sometimes just knowing you are not alone is the greatest gift you can give someone. Just listen to her and chat about things you normally would. She will open up about it when she is comfortable. While cancer is a life changing disease for her it helps to sometimes have that one friend to who she can just be herself with. I wish you friend the best and if you needed anything from us here please ask. Remember that cancer not only effects those who have it but also your friends and family.

Have your friend learn as much as possible about his or her illness, nutrition, etc. The American Cancer Society and their cancer center can be very helpful.
