    Cervical cancer with TB question?
    jarett73 posted:
My wife was diagnosed with stage 1 cervical cancer. She just had a PET scan and they found a lesion on her lungs. One of the things the doctor thinks it might be is active tuburculosis. She has absolutely no symptoms at all though. They said if it is TB it will delay her hysterectomy surgery to remove the cancer. Does anyone know how long the delay will be or how doctors/hospitals handle situations like this? I am scared that the cancer will spread while she is getting better from the TB. I read that it could take up to 9 months to cure her from the TB.

Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated...

This is an excellent question to ask the medical team working with your wife.
