    Post Colon Cancer treatment

    I had colon cancer which was successfully removed, all19 lymph nodes removed came back negative, doctor said he got it all. Now oncolocy doctor has me set up for 12 courses of Chemo, I have had 1 treatment and am sick as a dog. It is preventative they say. I do not want to continue the treatments. Anyone know about this or has been through it?

    Hi carstuf,

    Here are some tips for managing the side effects of chemotherapy . Everyone reacts differently to chemo in general and the different drugs used. I am so glad that your surgery was successful, and I hope that some of the tips listed in the link above will help with the side effects you are now struggling with.
