Keeping her clean and dry is the best prevention. You can use traditional diaper rash treatments.

My mom's doctor recommends blowing her dry with a hair dryer set on cool. Make sure you talk to your mother's doctor and get her checked for yeast or bacterial infections as well first.

She could be sensitive to the product that you are using. Some contain perfumes, etc. that are strong to the skin. Making sure that she is dry , using creams will help also. Have you tried just going without the "diaper" to allow air to get to the area ? Use protective pads under her instead of on her. Adult briefs as I prefer to call them cause you to sweat.
