Crohns disease or Celiac?????????????

Over New Years weekend I was hospitalized with severe diarrhea, bleeding, terrible cold chills and sweating so much I soaked my jammies and all my bedding. They ran several tests including placing a tiny camera pill down my throat to photograph my insides. The results show signs of Celiac, several ulcers, one quite large, in my lower bowel. Next week I will go for some more blood work (I was also diagnosed with chronic iron deficiency anemia) with a celiac sprue panel. My GI doc so far says it is either celiac or crohns...what do y'all think?

Rose, it may be hard for any of us to give you an answer. Many individuals with Crohn's also have celiac disease - they're 'gene linked.' If you have had a celiac panel and it's positive, then that disease is definitely present. I think the doc is going to have to have the final word on whether or not Crohn's is also present.
