CD and Gastric Bypass?

I'm eligible for gastric bypass surgery and I was hoping to get it soon. I'm all for making my stomach smaller, however, one thing that scares me is the bypass/ malabsortion part. Having Celiac Disease, I don't absorb enough nutrients as it is. It's pretty obvious when looking at my fingernails or energy level. Would the fact that the food I eat would be absorbed even less make things worse? I know they give you supplements to take after the surgery, but will they get absorbed by someone like me? Basically, is it safe for a person with CD to get gastric bypass surgery?
