Alone with Celiac Disease

Alright, I'm the only one in my family that has Celiac Disease, my twin brother has Crohn's disease but I've found it hard and still finding it hard to stick to 100% gluten free lifestyle because I'm the only one having to do it. Anyone else having this problem? My mom had tried really hard when I first found out and she still sometimes helps but I feel so alone in it.

MankeyDoodle, there are a lot of people that are in the some 'boat.' I work with a number of families whose members deal with the same thing you are currently dealing with, so I know you're not alone.

But what I'm wondering is if your brother has been gene tested because celiac disease and Crohn's are gene-linked. In some cases even if the disease hasn't shown itself yet (genes haven't expressed themselves), it will at some point in the future and for those with an IBD and a 'gluten-gene' hanging over their heads, a gluten-free diet can help.
