How long does one follow the ciliac diet before showing results...I have IBS for the past 30 some yrs. and it's getting worse...I want tot do the gluten free diet and see how that works for me.

It depends upon the person, but some find small indications that things are changing in about 4 weeks. If you think you might have a gluten issue, why not consider checking which genes you're carrying? An allele test would tell you whether you're carrying the main or lesser genes for celiac disease, or carrying gluten sensitive genes. If you're carrying genes in those categories and you've had "IBS" for a considerable amount of time, I'd suggest you discontinue gluten, period.
