Celiac and pain

I found out that I have celiacs in June of 09. I have been gluten free since. I don't know to many people with the disease so I have a couple of questions.

I recently ate something with wheat in it and about an hour or so later I pucked my guts up, Is this normal? (There was no way it was just simple food posioning.)

I know that celiacs is an autoimmune issue and that there are other things that can transpire with the onset of the disease. In the six months before I was diagnosed I went from being able to run 5+ miles with no problems to not being able to walk half a mile without being in a lot of pain. When I started the diet things improved alot, However it has been almost two years and I can now do most things I want to do I am in a lot of pain from my joints. Is this a normal side effect of celiacs? If it is does it ever get better?

CD can cause a number of issues including joint pain. Make sure you're not getting hit by any hidden gluten. There are products that have gluten but do not have to advertise the fact due to the current 'food guideline' issues.

But joint pain can come from a number of other issues, too. You may want to consider checking with your doc to rule out any other existing issues.
