Hair loss due to Celiac?

Well, my hair is not falling out nearly as much as when I was taking the Prozac. It helped a lot to color it as that added some thickness even though I don't really like the chemicals. But, hey, I am nearly 64 and got tired of the two years of gray I let it grow out to. So, I don't believe it is the Celiac that caused it. Also, I have a huge amount of stress in my life...too long a story to tell. It just never seems to end. I ended up wearing the beautiful wig to my daughter's wedding and received a lot of compliments. People said they couldn't even tell, so that went well. Thank ALL of you who posted about this. It helps when others can relate or give tips.

Hi, There are sooo many symptoms from Celiac & discussions do help if only to get things off our chests. I am 67/Hypothroidism w/meds for yrs & have noticed the last few yrs more hair loss so I think Celiac is part of that. I'm hoping all the symptoms will lessen w/time after over 20 yrs only being diag. in Jan. As far as the stress goes~we all have situations come up from time to time. My saying is ~ It Is What It Is! If I cannot contribute to help the situation I have to 'let it go'. That's a hard thing to make up your mind to do but it's working to bring 'peace' in my life. We all had to figure out how to overcome our life's delimmas & others around us have to also. It's not my 'responsibility' to change or see to it that others do what 'they must do for themselves'. I've also learned as human beings we live by our 'Feelings' therefore it's difficult to see situations w/objectivity & tomorrow is going to come regardless. As I'm healing I need to worry about myself & if others understand blessem' & if they don't ... oh well, it is what it is. Thoughts & hugs to you

Thank you so much for your reply. You seem to be a woman of wisdom! I am taking your advice on "If I cannot contribute to help the situation then I have to let it go". That is spiritually saying "give your burdens to the Lord to carry", more or less.
Yesterday I met a lady with her 13 yr old daughter at a Chick Fil A and she has Colitis and is on the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, so she said she heard or read that Celiacs should not eat any grain at all, even rice! I was taken aback at that. I eat a lot of rice and don't get sick. Well, at my age, 63, I think I am doing ok execept for this battle with stress and arthritis in my back. I survived breast cancer now for 13 years and many other situations that life has thrown at me. I have raised 5 children (2 stepkids) and I have 3 grandsons (& 3 stepgrandkids). Hope you are doing ok today and you have a wonderful tomorrow!!
God bless,
