I am a 63 yr old fm and I want to stop taking my cholestreol meds to see if it makes a difference in my blood counts. I have been on 10 mg statins for 15 years and my total is always around 200. Should I stop cold turkey or ween myself off by taking on tab everyother day.?

Please contact your doctor before starting, stopping or altering the dose of any medication you take!

It is not advised to stop any treatment cold turkey without being under the care of a medical professional. You can also contact your pharmacist about medication doses.
