Percent change in decline rate with Statins = ZERO

Maybe the McDonalds is countering the decreased caused by statins.
bobby75703 replied to billh99's response:
The decrease started in 1968, long before statins appeared. When statins came onto the scene in 1987, they didn't do anything to enhance he decline rate or change what was already happening.

This is the big picture. A quick snapshot of 40 years of decline in heart disease deaths, with no visible impact from statins.

Concerning McDonalds, They were America's fastest growing Fast Food chain.

During McDonalds growth years from 1968 to 1988, they grew Ten fold from 1000 Restaurants to 10,000 Restaurants.

During this same period, without statins, death rates from heart disease declined. In addition, the incidence of heart disease declined as well, meaning fewer people were getting heart disease in the first place.

Next statins hit the market. Lipitor eventually became the best selling drug in history. But despite Lipitor's great sales success, the decline rate in heart disease remained unchanged.
