Wow, I posted a scientifically and statistically correct response to this, and Webmd deleted it. In no way was my posting combative, rude, or worthy of being deleted.

My posting did point out the fact that people with low cholesterol also develop artery plaque and die of heart attacks. Some people may not like this scientific fact, but it is a fact.

The cholesterol hypothesis is the most widely accepted theory in heart disease. Many people accept it as the bottom line truth, and they have every right to do so. But true medical science is not based upon popular opinion.

And people that don't smoke still get lung cancer yet there is still an established link. Is that the great smoking myth and just popular opinion as well?

The fact that you don't have to smoke to get lung cancer doesn't mean there's no link. That's just a scientific fact. Same with cholesterol and heart disease.

True, it's based in data derived from scientific studies and trials.
