Blood test high cholesterol
deerwrapper posted:
Many years ago I was seeing a heart doctor and he ran this special blood test and told me that whatever I did NOT to let any doctor put me on cholesterol medicine because my blood doesn't let it build up in my arteries. However, he has since passed away and now my family doctor wants to put me on that medicine. My new heart doctor doesn't even want to discuss what the other doctor told me. What should I do and has anyone ever heard of that? Been unable to get my medical records from the deceased physicians office.

How long ago was this?

Many things have been learned over the years. Often thinking has changed 180.

And what is your heart condition? And how has it changed since you where seeing that doctor?
