    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

Did you ask your doctor for a plan you can follow regarding diet and exercise? I would start there.

Here is a link to the WebMD Cholesterol Management Center where you can find a variety of information:

Your Bad cholesterol (LDL) should be between 70-100 and the good (HDL) more than 40.
I started using a good fish oil and the HDL went up 12 points, LDL down 5 and triglycerides 13 points.
Also eating an apple or pear a day will lower your total cholesterol, increase the good one and lower the bad one.

goodhealthminded, thanks for the tip of an apple a day good for cholesterol. My hdl is fine, my other numbers are up by 10-30 pts. each.
Concerned about plaque buildup. Losing weight, improving nutrition.
