a bad bard power port

I had a bard port placed for chemo in sept. of this year. My first round of chemo the nurses couldn't access the port. I went back the next week and again they couldn't access the port, couldn't get a blood draw either time and couldn't flush the port either. So I was sent to x-ray and back to the surgeons office all in one day. The surgeon moved the port up in my chest and flushed it and said there was a clot. He told me it should be o.k. so that was 2 surgeries, 1 in sept. and 1 in oct. I was finally able to have my first chemo treatment and everything was o.k. had a second treatment and everything went well. Had a 3rd and when the port was accessed I had alot of pain. The nurse sent me to radiology and I had to have contrast put through the port to see the problem. They said they found blood on the outside of the port and because of scar tissue the port is unusable. So here I sit. My surgeon said he will not do another surgery so I have to have the radiologist do the surgery,(oh it's not considered a surgery it's considered a procedure. This makes # 3. I was never told there were any risks or complications from the power port. Does any one know the #'s of the recalled ones? Please if you do e-mail me at trishaandbruce57@aol.com .
