I was dx with rmsf somewhere around august or october 2012. I traced my tracks and figured I first got it about 2 or 3 months prior. I am a runner and we go to the gym 3 to 4 times a week for weight lifting. I have a very high tolerance to pain however had to quit running for awhile due to the pain. The joint pain was the worst pain I have experienced and I had brain surgery in 1997. Other health issues for me are,MS,fibromyalgia, restless leg syndrome, hypothyroidism( I have the book Hypothyroidism the unsuspected illness" very informative). migraines, degenerative disc disease, sjogrens, mrsa (going on 3 years now) and adrenal issues--I take b 12 shots.
I am now starting to experience the joint pain again. I am the type person to just push through the pain. I don't normally talk about my health issues because it doesn't do any good to dwell, that is my opinion. A few years ago I was on so much medication and strong doses that my system was trying to shut down. Therefore today and everyday I am just happy to be alive. That said it is getting old hurting all the time. I am having a hard time finding information on longterm Rmsf. I am contemplating going to a ID doc. I pray for those on here that are having such a hard time. Try to stay positive!!!! Wake up happy everyday regardless it is a choice we make...
