Hello! MRSA victims! Hello!

Are there not any MRSA victims out there but me? There muust be. I know few of them like to talk about this serious problem unless their life has been hanging by a thread. I have had two life threatening bouts with the dreaded bacteria in the past four yrs and have alluded to these in my posts but so far no one has responded. I do know doctors and hospitals are addressing the problem, aggressively but very quietly. But I think victims should stand up and be counted so we are aware of just how widespread this outbreak might be.

Hello again, Ronanngilbert1,

I hope you get some replies from others who've shared the same circumstances. Perhaps you could get MRSA data from your state/county health agency? I believe the NIH also has data on it.

Here's an MRSA Slideshow that may be of interest while you wait for other members to chime in with their stories.

Yours in health,

Byroney

Thanks, Byroney. You always pop up with a reply when I think nobody is listening. I just know there are lots of bloggers out there who have or have dealt with this problem and don't really realize it. The infection can have so many different names, depending on how far it has advanced. Just the other day I spoke to a friend of a friend of mine who was suffering from some very mysterious symptoms which seemed to me to be cardiovascular related. I talked with him some more and discovered that a couple of years ago he had been hospitalized with a staph infection in the tissue lining his heart. I don't know if he did or not, but I advised him to get to the emergency room right away. Anyway, thanks for the slideshow link. I learned something. And it just now occurred to me that about an hour ago I had a very good friend leave my house, headed for the state of Washington. And while we were visiting tonight he mentioned how he loved the ocean and walking on the beach. I think maybe I'll send him a text msg while I'm thinking about it! Anyway, I think MRSA has been pushed back into the closet and needs to be drug back out where we can keep an eye on it.

hello ronan, oh, there are millions of mrsa victims out there, me being one of them. I had a 4x heart bypass and the hospital gave me a "bonus disease", ha ha,. Before I was out of cardiac intensive care my wound was oozing and the doctors sent a grunt in to tell me; "it looks like we gave you mrsa" thanks. so I will share more of my experiences and advice (for what it is worth) with you ar anyone else who might benefit from it. Keep your chin up. Harry Curtis
