Been with my wife for 9yrs. Recently she informed m she had genital herpes. I have been checked and do not have the virus. After 9yrs of unprotected sex is it really possible she had it all along yet I never became infected?

Hello Porohyric and welcome. I am sorry to hear your wife has herpes. Unfortunately, we don't have any Health Experts on this community any more to help answer questions.

I'd suggest reposting this on our STD Community , where there's a lot of information and support about herpes. We also have a Health Expert, Nurse Warren there, too.

Yours in health,
